New version Monopoly 2008 (1.2.3.8)

GlobalSoft innovates again and introduces a new version of Monopoly, the leading real time data feed application - Monopoly 2008. The new version is enriched with new characteristics and has a new look. The new features of the application are listed below:

ASE share Status

The user is constantly aware of the status of a selected share.
The share status is appearing by a colour coding square on the first column of every form.
The explanation of the colour coding is described below:

Colour Status
Dark Green Active
Orange Temporary On Hold
Light Green Re-activate The Status Following a Temporary Hold
Red Under Supervision. (the share is not for trade)



The User, has the option to select from the toolbar symbols, whether to hide or unhide the first column where the share status is indicated by selecting or deselecting the symbol “S” on the far right end on the toolbar.

User-Definable Alert notifications

Visual Alerts

By utilising a share form, the user can easily define and set a new alert.
With a right click on the name of the share, a drop down list with options appears and the user can select the option "“Share Alert”" By selecting this option the choice of “Alert Notification” appears with the selected symbol.


Sound alert notification

Every notification can be set to have a different sound alert, so that the user can distinguish the severity or origin of the change without having to check on the screen.

Sound Management

One of the new features in Monopoly is the option “Sound Management”.
The user can import to the system any type of sound that has the format WAV, rename it and use it for his/her alerts or other functions in the system.
The Sound Management Option can be accessed via the "Alert Notification" or via the option "Program Settings" from the window "Sound Management".



User can add/import any sound by clicking on the button “Add New” to the “Sound Management” Window.
Following that with double click in the respective cell of the second column labeled “Sound Name” the user can type in the name he/she wants to give to the sound and then he/she clicks on “Enter” button on the keyboard to continue.
User can repeat this process for every sound he/she wants to enter and when the process is complete, the button “Save” needs to be pressed.

Under the “program settings” option, on the “System Sound” window, the user can define one of the saved sounds as a notification update for the following functions:
 1. 1. Message Entry
 2. 2. Entry of news
 2. 3. Error appeared
 2. 4. Connection Failed.



In the case where the user does not want to select any sound, then the option “No Sound” is selected for the respective function.
The same applies to all alerts in the system.

News vendor selection/identification

Monopoly is the only software that provides all of its users with news feed continuously from 4 different vendors who continuously increase in numbers. The user has the option on the news feed window to select the vendor by choosing to view either all news or selected vendor. Further value added service is provided to users, by having inbuilt to the system the initial of each vendor in front of the piece of news that appears on the screen. With this type of indication the user can identify the source for each piece of news.

Symbol transfer to a form, from the window of "Quick Search"

Select "Always in the front" for the dynamic window

Font size Change on the "Symbol View"

New Fields appear on the ASE index bar

The new fields added in the ASE index bar can be selected by the user and include: Higher Price, price, Lower Price , Volume and Daily Turnover.

64bit Operating System

Monopoly users can use the application on 64bit platform, Windows 2003 x64, Windows XP Pro x64 and Windows Vista x64 (all versions).
Monopoly (from the new version 1.2.3.8) is operable in two different versions, one as a 32bit application and one as a 64bit.
The 64bit application is faster over the 64bit respective operating systems due to better system resource administration.

Other modifications

Apart form the new above modifications the new Monopoly version provides the users with the following characteristics as well:

 1. Graph enlargement savings attributes.
 2. New icons can be added to the menu and the toolbar of the program.
 3. Keyboard use ('+', '-') for enlargement/ shrinking of graphs.
 4. Data window appearance internally in the graph.
 5. the form as an image to send via email or to paste to word.
 6. Index appearance in the new internal graph window.
